Bob Negri Memorial Scholarship

The Bob Negri Memorial Scholarship was established by Hayward Firefighters Local 1909 to honor the life and legacy of Robert “Bob” Joseph Negri, a beloved EMS Coordinator, mentor, and member of the Hayward Fire Department family for more than 20 years. The scholarship is funded by the Hayward Firefighters Charitable Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created and operated by members of Local 1909 to support charitable programs, education, youth development, and community needs in Hayward and the surrounding area. Through this scholarship, Hayward firefighters are proud to continue Bob’s commitment to service, mentorship, and helping others by supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals.

The scholarship provides up to $5,000 toward tuition for qualifying EMT, paramedic, or nursing education.

Who is eligible?

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have applied to or been accepted into an accredited EMT, paramedic, or nursing program
