🚨 Today marks a significant milestone as we welcome Engine 11 to downtown Hayward! This staffing increase comes in response to rising call volumes and a continued commitment to keeping our community safe.
This type of staffing increase hasn’t happened in decades, and we’re proud to be better equipped than ever to serve and protect our residents.
A huge thank you to our Mayor and City Council for their unwavering support in recognizing and addressing the needs of our city.
Together, we continue to make Hayward safer! #haywardfirefighters #keepingHaywardsafe #hayward #happynewyear @bayareafirefighter @haywardfiredept

This is long overdue. I worked St. 1 for 2 years and many times we only had 3 persons on Engine 1, 2 on Truck 1 and 2 on Engine 11. It’s a very busy station. Congratulations on getting the staffing necessary to provide service to the City.
